At a time when youth softball is increasingly shaped by short-term moves, roster turnover, and transactional development, Coach Matt Menerey is quietly building something different in Woodstock, Georgia.
As the head coach of Firecrackers GA 2031, Menerey is leading a 12U program rooted in continuity, accountability, and long-term athlete growth—values that are becoming harder to find in today’s fast-moving softball landscape.
The Standard Continues
On behalf of the Extra Inning Softball Team, we commend Coach Matt Menerey, his staff, and the Firecrackers GA 2031 for the standard they continue to set at the 12U level. The commitment to culture, consistency, and athlete development is evident not only in results, but in the way this program retains families, builds confidence, and develops young athletes the right way.
We look forward to following the continued growth and success of this team in the years ahead and watching these players make lasting impacts well beyond the field.
