Freedom 2016: A Rising Team with Big Dreams in 8U Softball

Freedom 2016 (8U) is a promising softball team located in Searcy, Arkansas, with big dreams and even bigger potential. Launched in October 2023, this team was founded with a focus on developing young athletes who excel both on and off the field. Coached by Courtney Jones, the team is a part of the growing Freedom Fastpitch organization. The focus of Freedom 2016 is not only to provide top-tier softball training but also to build character, discipline, and grit in young athletes—qualities that will carry them through life, beyond just the softball diamond. With little to no cost to parents, this unique approach makes the program accessible to many aspiring players.

In its early days, Freedom 2016 has already made a significant impact in the Arkansas softball scene. While still a new team, their commitment to proper fundamentals and player development has made them a team to watch. This focus on learning, improving, and growing has already led to impressive results, including several strong finishes in local tournaments.
