Nicole and Koufax Kivita: A Mother-Daughter Bond Built on the Game

For Mother’s Day, we shine a spotlight on a softball legacy that stretches from the collegiate fields of Massachusetts to the dirt diamonds of New York neighborhoods. Nicole Kivita, a former Academic All-American at Clark University, and her daughter Koufax—named after baseball legend Sandy Koufax—share more than just a name connected to greatness. They share a passion for softball that has defined their family’s rhythm, values, and weekends for over a decade.

Their story is a living reminder that when softball is passed from one generation to the next, it becomes more than a game—it becomes a way of life.
