This is Brentt Eads of Extra Inning Softball…
On behalf of our staff across the nation and to everyone across the country (and even the world, as we have readers globally!), we would like to wish everyone a safe, happy and healthy Independence Day or, as it’s more commonly called, the 4th of July!
The 4th of July week means we’re in the heart of the summer and are excited for the travel ball season to be played as well as some upcoming news and developments we’ll be sharing soon. We’re just finishing up our Extra Inning Softball High School All-American lists and coming up in August we will resume our player rankings with the updated Class of 2025.
There’s a lot going on, as always, in college–even though it’s “off-season”–with the transfer portal, coaching changes, as well as international ball and much more in our wonderful sport. As we continue to grow our company, we’re happy to continue to tell stories on and off the fields, profile top players and teams, compile rankings and let you know what’s going on in the softball world.
For me, my favorite part is getting to know these wonderful young athletes, the people supporting them and being able to share their stories.
As for this holiday, there’s a lot that’s problematic in our country, but we optimistically look forward to the day when these issues can be resolved to the betterment of all and the coming together of us all as much as possible for our country.
There are a lot of great things we can appreciate and celebrate in our nation and, as one who has lived overseas (France, Belgium, Luxembourg), I am grateful for the freedoms and opportunities we do have and enjoy on a daily basis.
May you all have a wonderful 4th of July week with whomever doing whatever you enjoy most: softball, family, friends, great food, fireworks, celebration of faith and blessings and much, much more!
And if you have anything you’d like to share with us–be it softball related or otherwise–feel free to reach out to me/us and we will do our best to make this nation and world a better place than we found it!
