After a trying week last week for Duke head coach Marissa Young that saw:
- a return to the hospital for her husband, James Lamar
- her car being rear-ended
- a refrigerator breaking down
… Extra Inning Softball felt the need to express our wishes for a happy birthday to Marissa and how she’s admirably getting through these difficult times.
On the good news front, James is back home and doing well after a heart and kidney transplant this summer and as Coach Marissa explains on her social media, she’s already received her “Best Birthday Gift” as husband James is on the road to recovery and, as shown by the photo above, is able to get out and watch his athletic kids at sporting activities!
