Week 5 of the 2021 high school softball season saw several of the top teams in California–including three in the Top 10–face each other, but only one came out unscathed as Los Alamitos moves to the top spot after a win over previous #1 Norco.
Don’t count out Norco, though, just yet as the perennial powerhouse had wins over two other top 50 teams.
Elsewhere across the country, one team in Texas is looking very powerful with a home run barrage that has them undefeated while several of the elite programs in the Midwest are still waiting to play their first games.
Extra Inning Softball’s Carlos Arias provides a look at this week’s Top 50 (scroll down to see the complete list; records through Saturday, March 20, 2021 games).
