Christina Smith, a talented third-baseman and utility player for the Crush Tidal Waves (“CTW”) 18U, led by Coach JR Fullington, recently announced her decision to continue her academic and athletic career at Washington University in St. Louis, starting next fall.
Presently a senior at Huntley High School, Christina is among the top students of her class, demonstrating her dedication to excellence both on and off the field. Enrolled in several college-prep courses, she recently earned a 5 out of 5 on the AP English Exam, as well as tested in the 99th percentile on the SAT with a 1450. Additionally, Christina represented her high school at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in April.
After school, Christina excels on Huntley’s varsity softball team, which took home 3rd Place for the IHSA 4A Division during her freshman year.
Prior to joining her current club squad, Christina competed with the New Lenox Lightning 16U at some of the most competitive national events, including IDT Boulder, the Top Gun Invitational, and a PGF National Qualifier.
Since moving up to the 18U division, the slapper has excelled with CTW Fastpitch, garnering the attention of several college coaches.
