Jayelle (“JL”) Austin accepted an offer to compete in the Big-12 conference with the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, starting in the fall of 2025.
The centerfielder for the Oklahoma Athletics, coached by Frank Knight, has been with her club team since 10U, and has always been a standout athlete.
“JL has the ‘it’ factor and is a five-tool player. She does it all, she can hit for power or lay it down for average,” shared Coach Knight. “She covers the outfield from gap to gap, throws with a cannon, and can run like a deer. Always eager to get better and work on her game, Jayelle is a great player all around.”
When the 6A-4 Player of the Year for Owass High School first visited the campus on her official visit, she immediately knew that this was the program for her.
