I Committed: Nora Abromavage, Future Virginia Tech Hokie

Nora Abromavage, a 2024 outfielder for the East Cobb Bullets – Cornett team, has announced her commitment to continue her education and play softball at Virginia Tech next fall.

Nora was somewhat of a “late” commit, according to her coach, Stevie Cornett, and had taken her time deciding which school was right for her.

“She had plenty of other options she could’ve taken early on, but she really wanted to wait and see how the cards fell.”

And fell they did.

By the time June arrived, Nora knew where she wanted to spend the next four years.

Having visited the campus while attending camps throughout the last few years, the university quickly rose to the top of her list as she was browsing softball programs.

“There is nothing I love more than playing softball,” shared the player. “I am super excited to stay in my home state and play at Virginia Tech. There is no place I’d rather be. Lets Go Hokies!”

Nora joined the Bullets having never played in the outfield. However, Coach Pete D’Amour recruited the athlete at this position, given her outstanding performance on the field.

“She’s the best outfielder I’ve ever seen and, besides that, she’s a great all around player and one of the funniest kids I’ve had the privilege to coach,” shared Coach Cornett. “Anything positive you can say about a kid, you can say about Nora.”
