*****
During this weekend at the Alliance Qualifier in Lake Havasu, Arizona, I experienced all the highs and lows of the game: the fun, the frustrating, the grit, the pain, the happiness, and every other word that describes the beautiful game of softball!
The frustration came when my team fell into a situation where we didn’t want to be and did not qualify, but not qualifying made me reflect.

What do we do now? We grind. We take every day as a new opportunity to get stronger, faster and better. We learn from the experience and grow from it.
Even though my team did not qualify, this weekend reminded me what the game is really about.
It is about coming together as a team and trusting the process. It is about trusting your coaches that they will put the players that they feel will get the job done in the right situations at the right time.
It is about trusting your teammates, that they will prepare and show up ready to play. It is about trusting yourself, that you have prepared to the best of your ability and that you are ready for anything that comes your way.
It is knowing that as an individual you are only as strong as the entire team and that you win and lose as a team.
As an individual, I grew as well.
