Select 30: Day 3 in Viera, Florida:
Finished up the 3rd day–I sure am sore!
My team went right into a double header this morning, everyone feeling good and ready to win. First game we won 5-3, starting off strong with defense and offense, and we got better with communication and making the number of errors rare.
Game 2 we lost 6-5, not starting strong, making errors back-to-back–which are the worst type of errors–and not really executing on the offensive side until the last inning. We took our mistakes and learned from them. I know my team will dominate tomorrow in our last game!
After our second game, two teammates and I went to an interview, which I have never done before, so that was a new experience. We learned the right way to answer interview questions and what to look for when being asked.
In the classroom, we got taught something called the “receive and release routine.”
