Continuing to take care of business at the Pan American Championship, the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) remains undefeated after Thursday’s 8-2 victory over Canada in the first game of Playoff Round.
Combining for 11 hits and eight walks in the win, all 10 U.S. batters reached base with Aubrey Leach and Sis Bates leading the pack with two hits apiece.
Doubles from Amanda Lorenz and Sahvanna Jaquish kept the U.S. offense rolling while Dejah Mulipola also contributed with a single, two walks and two runs scored for the Red, White and Blue.
Once again going the distance in the circle, Rachel Garcia dominated through seven innings of play while racking up five K’s and limiting the Canadian offense to only two runs.

Team USA continues play at the Pan American Championship with the second day of Playoff Round later today (Friday) before heading into the Medal Round on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Tonight, the USA Women’s National Team will play the always dangerous Cuba Team at 8:30 pm Central Time. Cuba is coming off a 12-5 win our Puerto Rico.
