For Laurel Pucci, switching to the left side of the plate didn’t come naturally—but it came with purpose.
A 16-year-old center fielder for the Empire State Huskies 16U National Team, Laurel is a rising junior at Immaculate High School in Danbury, Connecticut, where she maintains a 4.3 GPA. She’s passionate about environmental science and plans to study it in college to help address climate change. Off the field, Laurel serves as a Student Ambassador, volunteers at her former elementary school, and enjoys skiing, musical theater, and spending time with her Bernedoodle, Cosmo.
