Puerto Vallarta College Challenge Features Oklahoma, Washington, Clemson and Utah

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Oklahoma, Washington, Clemson and Utah headline a loaded field for the 2024 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

It its eighth year, the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge is conducted over two sessions. The first session will be held on Feb. 8-11 and session two will be played on Feb. 14-18.

Three-time defending national champion Oklahoma heads the session one field and is joined by Washington, Nebraska and Duke.

The Sooners will face Utah Valley, Duke, Washington and Long Beach State during session one play, while Washington will take the field against Nebraska, Utah Valley, Oklahoma and Iowa State.

Other matchups of session one include Nebraska meeting Washington and Duke.

The field for session two includes Clemson, Utah and Wichita State.

The Tigers will face Wichita State, UC San Diego, Utah, Auburn and Mississippi State over the course of four days.

Utah is scheduled to face Auburn, South Carolina, Clemson, Mississippi State and UC San Diego.

The Puerto Vallarta College Challenge began in 2015 and has evolved into one of the premier tournaments designed to launch the softball season. It was the first-ever DI softball event held outside the United States and has included programs from well known Power 5 conferences as well as the deep pool of strong mid-major schools — the Mexican Olympic team also played in the tournament in 2020.

Games are played at Nancy Almaraz Stadium and will be live streamed on FloSoftball.
