As we detailed in our Tuesday edition of The Last Inning, Kyleigh Pitzer – a 2022 pitcher with Fury Platinum who attends Wilson Central High in Tennessee, had over 20 college coaches reach out to her on Sept. 1, the first day of the Contact Period.
Kyleigh told us three days ago: “I have received several offers but I’m not in a hurry to make a commitment today.”
However, within 24 hours she got so excited about one top program, she felt it was the time and the place to commit… and that was to the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
Kyleigh explained that the Louisiana coaches had first watch her pitch in the fall of 2019 at a Thunderbolts 5 Star Bolts tournament in Montgomery, Alabama.
“After seeing them watching the games I started sending emails and researching the program and school and decided they were one of my top choices,” the 6-foot right-hander told Extra Inning Softball today.
Announcing commit on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2020:
