Admission-time: my parents are from Parkersburg, West Virginia so when I saw that Emily Allen from Parkersburg High sent in her Tweet from a month and a half ago saying she had committed, well, I was biased towards liking her!
When she wrote in her email: “Thank you, have a great day!” I was impressed.
And when I saw her tweet and it was said: “i am humbled and beyond blessed to announce that i have committed to North Carolina State,” well, her gratitude had me sold.

Not to mention she’s a two-time all-state catcher (with two years yet to play at the prep level) and is very good behind the plate and at it with the bat.
Here’s more on Emily and why she’s one to root for… especially when you read what drives her to be the best softball player she can be.
