The evaluation process for the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 National Rankings continues to build momentum, with nominated athletes from across the country now under review.
Each week, Watchlist Wednesday gives readers an early look at four athletes who have officially entered the rankings process. These players have not been ranked, and their appearance in this series does not indicate where—or if—they will ultimately land in the National Rankings.
Instead, Watchlist Wednesday highlights the athletes behind the nominations while the Extra Inning Softball Rankings Committee continues its comprehensive evaluation.
Inside the Class of 2030 Evaluation
Earning a nomination is the starting point of a much larger process.
Extra Inning Softball evaluates nominated athletes through its proprietary SERV™ Methodology—Software, Evaluate, Research, and Verify. The process incorporates submitted information, verified statistics, research, position-specific evaluation, and additional sources to create a more comprehensive picture of each athlete.
This year’s rankings will also introduce the 5-Star Rating System, giving ranked athletes another way to understand and showcase their evaluation.
And when the final National Rankings are released, every athlete will receive her own numerical placement. No ties. No shared ranking numbers.
Is Your Athlete Officially In?
Seeing an athlete’s name on the Recommended Athletes List is exciting—but there is one important step families cannot overlook.
A recommendation does not count as a nomination.
Recommendations are submitted by members of the softball community who believe an athlete deserves consideration. They help Extra Inning Softball discover additional talent from across the country, but they do not place an athlete into the official evaluation pool.
Only athletes who receive an official Class of 2030 nomination can be evaluated for the National Rankings.
With the August 24 deadline approaching, now is the time to check the Recommended Athletes List and make sure your athlete’s nomination has been submitted.

Watchlist Wednesday Athletes
The athletes featured below are among the many talented Class of 2030 players currently being evaluated from across the country. Each has officially been nominated and is now part of the national evaluation process.
Adalyn Washko | Catcher | Class of 2030
A commanding presence behind the plate, Adalyn Washko continues to make her mark for Electric City Shock. The Roaring Brook Township, Pennsylvania, catcher has earned two selections to the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) in Vero Beach, Florida.
Washko is also a two-time Little League Pennsylvania State Champion and has competed at the Newtown Rock Premier Showcase. One of her biggest moments came when a standout defensive play earned the No. 1 spot on ESPN’s Top 10 Plays.
With national-level experience and a growing résumé, Washko is among the athletes nominated for consideration in the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 National Rankings.
Carla Henry | Catcher | Class of 2030
A steady presence behind the plate,Carla Henry continues to make an impact for Tennessee Mojo Evans. The Urbandale, Iowa catcher has competed in several high-level events, including the PGF Super Select Championships, Colorado Sparkler National Power Pool Championships, and PGF Kentucky Chrome Invitational, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.
Her drive carries into the classroom and other sports as well. Henry maintains a 4.0 GPA while also competing in volleyball and basketball. With her experience, athleticism, and well-rounded approach.
Henry is among the athletes nominated for consideration in the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 National Rankings.
Jazmyn Kaesbauer | Catcher | Class of 2030
A battle-tested presence behind the plate, Jazmyn Kaesbauer brings extensive championship experience to Corona Angels Tyson. The Whittier, California, catcher has played up against older competition throughout her career while building an impressive résumé.
Kaesbauer’s accomplishments include a 2026 IDT Championship, 2022 Alliance Championship, TCS World Series Championship, and a 2021 Alliance Tier 2 title. She has also earned Alliance All-Tournament honors and MVP recognition, along with third-place finishes at both the 12U and 14U Alliance Nationals.
With years of experience against high-level competition and a proven championship pedigree, Kaesbauer is among the athletes nominated for consideration in the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 National Rankings.
Nora Bassler | Catcher | Class of 2030
A confident presence behind the plate, Nora Bassler has developed into a dependable leader for GTS Elite-Holzbauer 13U. The Salem, Wisconsin, catcher combines a strong, accurate arm with impressive blocking skills, helping control the running game while directing the defense.
Bassler’s impact carries over offensively, where she is a reliable contact hitter who consistently puts the ball in play and helps create scoring opportunities. She has also gained experience at events including the PGF Beverly Bandits Power 80 Showcase, LP4U Midwest Championship, and LP4U Queen of the Hill.
Coach Kristin Holzbauer praises Bassler’s communication, work ethic, and coachability—qualities that complement her skills behind the plate. Bassler is among the athletes nominated for consideration in the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 National Rankings.
The Road to Rankings Starts Here
The clock is ticking for the Class of 2030 National Rankings. Nominations officially close August 24, leaving only a few days for coaches and families to make sure deserving athletes are submitted for consideration.
Once nominations close, the Extra Inning Softball Rankings Committee will continue its comprehensive evaluation of nominated athletes from across the country using the SERV™ Methodology. In the meantime, catch up on last week’s Watchlist Wednesday!
