After weeks of nominations and nationwide participation, the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2030 Regional and National Rankings nomination window closes TODAY, August 24, at midnight.
For Class of 2030 athletes hoping to be evaluated during this rankings cycle, the opportunity is officially down to its final hours.
Once the deadline passes, the nomination window closes and the Extra Inning Softball Rankings Committee moves forward with the athletes who were officially submitted.
No late nominations will be accepted.
If there is a Class of 2030 athlete who belongs in the rankings conversation, today is the day to make sure her name is in it.
Only ONE Nomination Is Needed
The most important reminder heading into the final hours is simple:
Only ONE official nomination is needed per athlete.
Submitting multiple nominations does not improve an athlete’s ranking or provide an advantage during the evaluation process.
And remember: a recommendation is not an official nomination.
Hundreds of Class of 2030 athletes have been recommended throughout this rankings cycle. While being recommended is an exciting recognition, it does not automatically enter an athlete into the rankings process.

Every Nominated Athlete Receives a Regional Ranking
This year’s rankings process provides athletes with an opportunity for recognition beyond the National Rankings.
Every properly nominated Class of 2030 athlete will receive an Extra Inning Softball Regional Ranking and will also be considered for the Class of 2030 National Rankings.
Athletes from all six EIS regions will be evaluated, helping create a nationwide picture of the Class of 2030.
But everything begins with the nomination.
No nomination means no evaluation during this rankings cycle.
The New EIS 5-Star Rating System
The Class of 2030 rankings will also introduce the EIS 5-Star Rating System, adding another layer to how ranked athletes are recognized.
The national ranking identifies where an athlete finishes among her class, while the 5-Star Rating provides additional context surrounding her overall evaluation.
And there is another important distinction:
No ties.
Every nationally ranked athlete will receive her own numerical placement.
A New National Rankings Leaderboard
Class of 2030 athletes will also be showcased through Extra Inning Softball’s expanded National Rankings Leaderboard.
Instead of simply publishing a list of names and numbers, the leaderboard is designed to spotlight the athletes behind the rankings.
Athlete information will include elements such as a photo, player bio, national ranking, 5-Star Rating and additional information and recognition.
The goal is to make earning an EIS ranking more than a number—it becomes a lasting piece of an athlete’s softball profile.
How Will Athletes Be Evaluated?
Once today’s deadline passes, the Rankings Committee moves deeper into the evaluation process using the SERV™ Methodology.
S — Software: Technology helps organize athlete information, performances, achievements and supporting evaluation data.
E — Evaluate: The Rankings Committee assesses the athlete’s overall profile, including positional ability, offensive and defensive impact, athleticism, performance, accomplishments and competition level.
R — Research: The process extends beyond one tournament or statistic. Evaluators research an athlete’s broader body of work, competition history and achievements.
V — Verify: Information is reviewed and verified before rankings are finalized.
The purpose is simple: evaluate the complete athlete rather than relying on name recognition alone.
⏰ The Clock Is Running Out
For weeks, there has been time to contact a coach, check nomination status and complete a submission.
Today, that time runs out.
The Class of 2030 Rankings nomination window closes TONIGHT, August 24, at midnight.
If an athlete has already been officially nominated, no additional action is needed. Only one nomination is required.
But if an athlete hasn’t been nominated? Nominate your athlete HERE!
