We have some exciting projects coming up this month that are time relevant so we’re shuffling our editorial calendar just a bit.
You wouldn’t think it with much of the Eastern part of the nation buried in snow (some places covered with more than a foot of white stuff!), but the college softball season is coming up rapidly.
Accordingly, we are releasing this week our first-ever Extra Elite 100 College Player Rankings as well as our College Player Position Rankings!
As college sports information programs want to have the info well advance to use in their promotional and marketing materials, we’re publishing these ratings this week.

Therefore, as to not crowd out our regularly scheduled first-ever Class of 2027 Extra Elite 100 rankings, we’re pushing the launch of those younger athlete rankings to begin next Monday, January 24, 2020.

On a personal note, I want to again extend my deepest appreciations to all of those who reached out and offered condolences for the passing of my mother last week.
It was a double blow on Friday as my mom was buried and I also learned that one of my closest high school friends in my graduating class, Scott Cline, died of prostate cancer that morning. Prayers go out to his family in Texas…
We also want to ask for best wishes for several in our softball community who lost loved ones last week including Bob Turner of the Top Gun organization, whose brother died from COVID, and Jazz Jackson Vesely of Impact Gold, whose grandmother passed unexpectedly.
It’s been a tough start to the new year for many, but before we know it, we’ll have a return to the sun-filled days with softball played on the field.
Up until then, we have a lot of coverage coming up we know you’ll enjoy…
