ACAPULCO, Mexico — The U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) capped off an unforgettable performance at the 2025 Pan American Championship with a dominant 5-0 shutout over Mexico, finishing the tournament undefeated and claiming the gold medal. With the win, Team USA also secured a spot in the 2025 WBSC U-15 Women’s World Cup.

The championship matchup began at 3:30 p.m. MT, and the Eagles wasted no time showing their offensive power. Ashleigh Bronowicz led the charge, going a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate. She was joined by Amiyah Currie, Michaela Landers, and Abby Stenerson, who each added multi-hit performances. The U.S. offense came alive with three doubles from Bronowicz, Landers, and Khloe Williams, helping fuel the shutout victory.

In the circle, Malloree Harr set the tone with three strikeouts over five innings before Maci Barnes closed out the game with a strong sixth inning.

Why Team USA’s Performance Stands Out

Team USA’s win over Mexico wasn’t just about one game — it marked their seventh shutout of the tournament. The Eagles breezed through the Opening Round with dominant wins over Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, and Venezuela. In the Super Round, they continued their unbeaten streak, defeating Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada to lock in the No. 1 seed.

Overall, the U.S. outscored opponents by an incredible 90-2 margin, winning six of their eight games by run-rule.

Who Led Team USA at the Plate

Several players stood out throughout the tournament:

  • Khloe Williams: .611 batting average

  • Michaela Landers: .600 batting average

  • Melody Soto: .550 batting average

  • Abby Stenerson: .533 batting average

Williams, Soto, and Landers powered the offense with clutch hits, speed, and run production. Williams and Soto each tallied 11 RBIs, while Landers scored a team-high 13 runs and collected 12 hits.

What Made Team USA’s Pitching Dominant

The pitching staff of Barnes, Leona Eichholz, Harr, and Ansley Johnson was nearly untouchable. Together, they combined for 64 strikeouts while allowing just two runs over 39 innings.

The Eagles also led the tournament in several key offensive and pitching categories, including:

  • Batting average: Williams – .611

  • Home runs: Eichholz – 3

  • RBIs: Soto & Williams – 11 each

  • Stolen bases: Landers – 5

  • Runs scored: Landers – 13

  • Hits: Landers – 12
