The Extra Elite Eighty 16U Club Rankings were recently released and TLI will be taking a look at the teams that made the top 80 for the next few weeks.

2020 Fall Record: They went 37-7 with notable wins over Beverly Bandits DeMarini-Richards, Illinois Chill Gold, Beverly Bandits Premier-Christopoulos/Blevins, Wisconsin Bandits Gold and Illinois Thunderbolts. The Mojo has an invite to the PGF 16U Platinum Nationals.
Returners:
- Olivia Balog (2022, P/1B, a right-hander who throws in the 60s and posted a 1.71 ERA)
- Payton Benoit (2023, OF, a strong arm in the OF and hits for power)
- Kiley Conner (2022, CF, a great combination of speed and power who wreaks havoc on the bases)
- UMass-commit Abbie Gregus (2022, C, a game-changer at the plate with the bat)
- Central Florida-commit Brooke McNichols (2022, P, a right-hander who throws in the mid-60s with big-game experience and swings a big bat)
- Aubrie Morales (2023, SS/2B, a speed demon on the bases and a slick-fielding infielder)
- Maia Pietrzak (2023, SS, phenomenal athletic ability who regularly makes ESPN highlight plays)
- Gianna Richy (2022, 1B/UT, a lefty hitter who hits for high average and power and batted .429 in the fall)
- Kaitlyn Wright (2022, 3B/UT, a 5-tool player, bats lead-off and led the team with a .440 BA, eight triples and three HRs)
- Jaime Widule (2022, 2B, a gritty player that “gives 110 percent on every play”)
Newcomers:
- Mary “MJ” Bresnahan (2023, OF/1B, a speedy outfielder that hits for average and power)
- St. Louis-commit Abby Mallo (2022, C/3B/OF, a versatile defender with a big stick)
- Hannah Meeks (2022, P/OF, picked up from Chicago Cheetahs, a crafty southpaw who pitches with precision and power in the 60s. Had a 1.62 ERA and batted .432 in the fall)
What will it take for your team to be successful this season? To be successful the team needs to stay focused. We have the pitching, defense and offense to compete with the best.
Can you describe your pitching staff? UCF-commit Brooke McNichols is a hard-throwing righty, mid 60s that has a multitude of pitches. Southpaw Hannah Meeks is drawing a lot of D1 interest and has great movement on her pitches and very crafty. Righty Olivia Balog throws consistently in the 60s and has a mean change-up. Together they had a combined ERA of 2.11 against tough competition.
