Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them?
Explosion Softball is considered one of the nation’s top elite travel teams that participates in some of the most competitive tournaments across the US. My team was previously under the AZ Killer Bees organization and the coaching staff felt Explosion would be great exposure and be part of Bret Denio’s elite organization with top coaches, including Bobby Flores and Donnie Hagberg.
What do you bring to the team?
Leadership, big energy, fun sense of humor and work ethic. I lead by example on and off the field by instilling my core values in my every day.
What area are you focusing on/trying to improve this summer?
Picking up velocity on pitching and working on my spins, so I can be even more efficient and the results I want for each pitch. I have really fast hands and it is hard to let the ball travel. I have improved on hitting different pitches and have worked to keep my hands back by waiting on the ball to hit the outside change-up.
