12U CLUB SCOUTING REPORT
Extra Inning Softball began releasing the Extra Elite Eighty 12U Club Rankings on Monday, April 27, 2020, so we’ll continue to take a look at some of the top teams in the nation.
So let’s take a look at Jeff Blanco’s team …

Extra Elite Eighty Ranking: #77
2019 Fall Record: 24-8 with a second-place finish at AFA Heavy Hitters Tournament and first place at USSSA Leap Year Tournament.

- Daniela Vejar (2025, OF/2B, a great contact hitter with very good speed and base running skills)
- Sydney Hwang (2025, OF/MIF, a surgical slapper with top level speed and base running skills)
- Kaitlyn Clark (2025, P/OF, a great spin pitcher with a consistent swing and plate approach)
- Mariah Flores (2025, P/1B, a good control pitcher with tremendous power)
- Jessica Cherms (2025, SS/UT, a versatile player with great power and contact)
- Presley Marquez (2025, OF, a lefty slapper with good upside and very good speed)
- Natalie Flores (2025, 3B/OF, a great defensive player with some pop)
- Christine Sweet (2025, 2B/OF, a slapper with top level speed and base running skills)
- Jade Curiel (2025, P/1B/3B, a great power pitcher with opposite field power at the plate)

- Savannah Anderson (2025, P/1B, recovering from injuries, but will help in the circle and at the plate)
What will it take for your team to be successful this year?
To continue to develop our hitting as a team and consistent pitching will help us achieve our goals.
Who is your No. 1 pitcher and can you describe her skills?
Who are the other pitchers on your staff and can you describe their skills? #1 Jade Curiel, a power pitcher with good velocity who is very effective when her off-speed pitches are on. Bryan Ortega, Mariah Flores and Kaitlin Clark, who is extremely accurate and consistent and a great off-speed pitcher.
Can you describe your offense and what some of the strengths are?
We have a very good balance of power and speed. Just like most teams, we do well when our rabbits get on and our power hitters have clutch at-bats and drive them in.
