ALLIANCE FASTPITCH FALL CUP IN OKC THIS WEEKEND

The Alliance Fastpitch Fall Cup will be held Friday-Sunday in Oklahoma City, OK, and the event is loaded with top teams from around the country.

USA Softball issued the following release:

USA Softball welcomes participants, umpires, coaches and fans to the Softball Capital of the World® for the inaugural 16-Under and 18-Under Alliance Fastpitch Fall Cup. Scheduled to run from Oct. 2-4, the Alliance Fast Pitch Fall Cup will feature a round-robin where groupings of teams will compete against each other for league bragging rights.

A total of 40 teams from five of the six Alliance Fastpitch Member Leagues are set to participate in the Fall Cup, including 18 16U teams and 22 18U teams.

The 16-Under division will be held at Wildhorse Park (1201 N Mustang Rd., Mustang, Okla. 73064) while games for the 18-Under division will be played primarily at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex (2801 NE 50^th St, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73111) with additional games taking place at Wildhorse Park on Sunday, Oct. 4.

In partnership with USA Softball, The Alliance Fastpitch seeks to provide oversight and guidance for Alliance Member Leagues, which currently includes California, the Heart of America, Rocky Mountain, Southeastern, Northeast and the Texas Fast Pitch Leagues, and create a sound infrastructure in the elite youth game.

Additionally, The Alliance aims to drive athlete-centric programming and resources geared towards the continual development of elite athletes, coaches, parents and officials.

In the 18U Division:

• Team CFL — Firecrackers-Rico/Weil, OC Batbusters-Stith, Athletics-Mercado/Smith and Corona Angels-Tyson;
• TeamCFL/TFL — TX CF Intruders-Johnson, Corona Angels-Slye, OC Batbusters-Bracamonte, West Bay Warriors and OC Batbusters-Stith/Maroon;
• Team HFL — Iowa Premier Gold-Dickel, Aces Fastpitch Club, Wichita Mustangs and LLG DPS-Corn;
• Team SEFL/RMFL — Fury Platinum, NM Suncats Gold-Gandert, Tennessee Mojo 2021-Cherry, Texas Blaze United-Slimp/Cain and Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker;
• Team TFL — Texas Glory, Texas Dirt Divas 2021-Chandler, Texas Bombers Gold-Smith and Impact Gold-Jackson.

In the 16U Division:

• Team CFL — Firecrackers-Holcomb/Robinson, Corona Angels-Slye, Corona Angels-FTS, Batbusters-Coyle/Wellbaum, OC Batbusters-Bracamonte and Suncats-Jimenez;
• Team HFL — Iowa Premier National, Indiana Magic Gold-Kleiner/Bay and Aces Fastpitch Club;
• Team SEFL/RMFL — New Mexico Suncats Gold 14U, Tennessee Mojo 2023-Danley and Acaes Fastpitch Club Black;
• Team TFL — Texas Bombers Gold-McCorkle, Texas Blaze United-Prinzo/Cain, Texas Bombers Gold National-Cuyos, Impact Gold-Jazz, Texas Glory Naudin and Texas Glory Naudin II.

Each team gets six pool play games and earn points based on win-loss-tie record.

“The format is similar to the Ryder Cup,” Impact Gold-Jackson coach KC Jackson said. “Each league plays against the other, for the most part. You get points for wins to determine which league is the Alliance Cup champion.”
