BURGESS LEAVES BOMBERS
James Burgess, who guided the Texas Bombers Gold-Smith/Burgess to a #1 ranking in the first 16U TFL standings, has left the Bombers organization.

Burgess said most of his top players have moved up to Texas Bombers Gold-Smith 18U. Dave McCorkle, formerly of Aces Express, will take over Burgess’ 16U squad, which will have Amiah Burgess, who is James’ oldest daughter. Amiah sat out last season with a torn ACL.
Burgess said he plans to return to coaching soon with his youngest daughter, Charleigh.
“I’m going to be putting together a 6U team soon and going back through all this again with my youngest daughter,” Burgess said. “Don’t know what organization I’m gonna run it through, yet.
“When I fire it back up, I hope to do it with the Bombers, but you never know.”
