As transfer portal activity continues to reshape the college softball landscape, Extra Inning Softball has launched a national initiative designed to help athletes maximize visibility during one of the most important recruiting periods of their careers.
While NCAA Division I softball officially opens its transfer window on June 8 for a limited 15-day period, transfer movement is taking place across every level of collegiate softball, including Division II, Division III, NAIA, and junior college programs.
Coaches nationwide are actively evaluating portal prospects, creating an increasingly competitive environment for athletes seeking their next opportunity.
To help athletes stand out, Extra Inning Softball is now accepting submissions for its national Transfer Portal Switchboard, a centralized platform built to connect available athletes with college coaches while providing additional opportunities for exposure through interviews, feature stories, and national recruiting coverage.
More Than a Database
The Transfer Portal Switchboard was designed to be more than a simple list of available players.
Athletes who complete the submission process can be added to a centralized recruiting hub where coaches can quickly access player information, statistics, video links, academic information, and contact details in one convenient location.
In today’s recruiting environment, visibility matters.
Hundreds of athletes may enter the portal during a short period of time. Coaches often move quickly as they evaluate talent and fill roster needs. Athletes who establish visibility early can place themselves in a stronger position as recruiting conversations begin.
Limited Feature Opportunities Available
In addition to the Transfer Portal Switchboard, Extra Inning Softball will be conducting a limited number of athlete interviews and feature articles throughout transfer portal season.
These opportunities are designed to help athletes tell their story beyond statistics by highlighting their journey, accomplishments, goals, and what they bring to a future program.
Because of anticipated demand and editorial capacity, interview and feature article opportunities will be limited. Athletes interested in maximizing exposure are encouraged to submit their information as early as possible for consideration.
While inclusion on the Transfer Portal Switchboard is available to all qualifying athletes who complete the form, enhanced editorial opportunities will be reserved for a select number of athletes throughout the recruiting cycle.
If you are a college athlete planning to enter the portal and would like to be featured by Extra Inning Softball, reach out to us here.
Reaching the Right Audience
Extra Inning Softball remains one of the most visible media platforms in the sport.
Over the past year, Extra Inning Softball generated more than 15.1 million organic impressions, providing athletes with access to a national audience that includes college coaches, recruiting coordinators, travel ball leaders, parents, and softball decision-makers from across the country.
The platform’s extensive recruiting coverage, player rankings, commitment news, feature stories, and national reporting have made it a trusted resource throughout the softball community.
This new transfer portal initiative extends that mission by helping athletes gain meaningful exposure during a critical stage of their recruiting journey.
Preparing Before the Window Opens
Athlete submissions are being accepted immediately so profiles, interviews, and recruiting materials can be prepared in advance of the official portal windows.
To maintain compliance and protect athlete eligibility, no player information will be publicly released before the applicable transfer portal window opens.
This proactive approach allows athletes to be positioned for visibility the moment recruiting activity begins. College athletes entering the transfer portal who want Extra Inning Softball coverage can reach out to us here.”
Submit Today
Transfer portal season has become one of the most significant components of roster building across college softball. As more athletes enter the portal and more programs rely on it for recruiting, standing out has never been more important.
Athletes who want an opportunity to increase their visibility, share their story, and place themselves in front of a national audience are encouraged to complete the submission form today.
Athletes can submit their information for consideration for the Transfer Portal Switchboard, feature articles, interviews, and additional recruiting coverage through Extra Inning Softball.
Additional transfer portal updates, athlete spotlights, and recruiting coverage will be announced throughout the summer.

Visibility is Key
Transfer portal season is no longer a secondary phase of recruiting. It is a central part of roster building across college softball.
As the 2026 window approaches, the ability to be seen—quickly and clearly—will play a defining role in who finds the right fit.
Extra Inning Softball’s national platform is designed to meet that need and provide athletes with a structured, high-visibility opportunity during one of the most important moments in their careers.

Maximum Visibility
Extra Inning Softball will begin accepting athlete submissions immediately in preparation for the upcoming transfer portal window. While profiles, interviews, and features will be built in advance, no information will be published or shared publicly until the portal officially opens.
This approach ensures athletes are prepared, positioned, and ready for maximum visibility the moment the window begins.
We look forward to assisting athletes throughout this process by providing added exposure and meaningful opportunities to elevate their recruiting presence during a critical time. Stay updated with more of the latest news and coverage.
