TV Numbers: Bedlam Broadcasts Lead the Way in Regular Season’s Final Weekend

Saturday’s game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State drew 491,000 viewers on ESPN, the most-watched college softball game of the weekend and the second-highest in total viewership this season.

Game two of the Bedlam series also checked in at #20 in a list of most-watched cable television programming on Saturday among the coveted 18-49 demographic. Both numbers for the game were compiled and released by ShowBuzzDaily.com.

The game also checked in as the most-watched live college sporting event of the weekend on ESPN’s family of networks.

Friday’s game one of the Bedlam series, which aired on ESPN2, drew 316,000 viewers and ranked 32nd in the 18-49 demographic.

Elsewhere around college softball, Saturday’s airing of Washington vs. Stanford drew 159,000 viewers while Sunday’s matchup of Florida vs. Kentucky drew 169,000 viewers. Both games aired on ESPN2.

Notably, every game in the top five of most-viewed broadcasts this season has included either Oklahoma or Alabama. February’s airing of Alabama vs. Florida State in Clearwater, a broadcast that drew 549,000 viewers, continues to lead the way in total viewership this season.
