
Oklahoma’s dramatic, come-from-behind win over Clemson in Game 2 of the Norman Super Regional was the most-watched softball game of the season’s penultimate week.
The 8-7 win by Oklahoma was watched by a total of 886,000 viewers, according to television numbers published by ShowBuzzDaily.com.
It was the 5th-most-watched Super Regional game ever, and the second-most-watched involving Oklahoma, behind Game 2 of the 2021 Super Regional vs. Washington, which aired on ABC. The all-time viewership record for the Super Regionals is Game 3 of the 2022 matchup between Texas and Arkansas, which drew 1.018 million viewers.
Elsewhere around the airwaves on Super Regional weekend, ABC’s telecast of Texas vs. Tennessee, Game 2, drew 747,000 viewers. The network broadcast checked in as the 3rd-most-watched game of the weekend, also trailing Game 2 of the Seattle Super Regional between Washington and Louisiana. That game drew 770,000 viewers.
