One of the most anticipated early-summer recruiting events in club softball returns this June as the Zoom Into June Fastpitch Tournament, hosted by Triple Crown Sports in Southern California. Scheduled for June 5–8, 2026, the nationally recognized showcase brings together top 14U–18U club teams from across the United States and Canada for four days of elite competition and recruiting exposure.

Directed by Fastpitch Event Director Kaitlin Flynn, Zoom Into June has grown into a major stop on the summer travel circuit for teams seeking early recruiting visibility and high-level gameplay.

For athletes, coaches, and families, the event represents an ideal way to launch the summer showcase season.

A Tournament Built on Recruiting Exposure

The Zoom Into June Tournament originated in 2012 when Triple Crown Sports acquired the event from the respected So Cal Finest Softball organization. Building on the strong competitive reputation already established, Triple Crown Sports has since expanded the event into a nationally recognized recruiting showcase.

Each summer, the tournament attracts hundreds of teams and a strong presence of college coaches looking to evaluate athletes early in the recruiting calendar.

Its timing makes it particularly valuable. The event takes place immediately following the conclusion of the Women’s College World Series, marking the first major recruiting weekend of the summer for many college programs.

Because of this, many athletes view Zoom Into June as an important opportunity to gain early exposure before the rest of the summer showcase circuit begins.

Five-Game Showcase Format

Zoom Into June follows a five-game round robin showcase format, giving every team multiple opportunities to compete against strong opponents while ensuring athletes receive consistent playing time in front of college recruiters.

This format prioritizes evaluation and exposure over elimination brackets, allowing athletes to showcase their skills across multiple games rather than a single do-or-go matchup.

For teams, the structure creates a balanced environment that combines competitive gameplay with the recruiting focus many athletes are seeking during the summer months.

Additional Recruiting Opportunities

Beyond the main showcase games, Zoom Into June offers several additional opportunities for athletes looking to connect with college programs and expand their recruiting visibility.

Event features include:

These additional opportunities allow athletes to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of settings while giving college coaches multiple chances to evaluate players both on and off the field.

For athletes with strong academic records, the All-Academic Showcase Games also highlight student-athletes who excel in the classroom as well as in competition.

Diamond Division for Advanced Exposure

One of the standout components of the tournament is the 18U Diamond Division, designed specifically for teams whose athletes are actively pursuing collegiate softball opportunities.

This division focuses on maximizing exposure for players seeking opportunities at the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and junior college levels.

By grouping similarly focused programs together, the Diamond Division creates an environment where both athletes and college recruiters can efficiently connect.

A Launch Point for the Summer Season

With teams traveling from across North America, Zoom Into June continues to serve as a premier early-summer showcase event within the fastpitch softball landscape.

The combination of competitive gameplay, recruiting exposure, and player development opportunities has helped the event build a strong reputation over the past decade.

For many athletes, it represents the first major opportunity of the summer to step onto the field in front of college coaches and begin building recruiting relationships.

As the summer travel season approaches, the Zoom Into June Fastpitch Tournament once again stands as a key event for teams looking to compete, gain exposure, and start the summer on the national recruiting stage.
