Final Day Sees Intense Competition and Celebrates Softball Talent in Idaho
The Boise Blast Summer Shootout concluded today, marking the end of an exciting and competitive tournament. Held at Discovery Park in Meridian, Idaho, and Willow Lane Park in Boise, Idaho, this event showcased the talents of young softball players from across the region. With 53 teams in attendance and a four-game guarantee followed by double elimination, the tournament offered a thrilling experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike.
Boise Blast Summer Shootout Tournament Directors and Structure
Jolie and Jeff Hultner, in their inaugural year as tournament directors, successfully managed this large-scale event. Their dedication and organization were evident throughout the tournament, earning them praise from participants and attendees. The Hultners’ commitment to providing a positive and competitive environment for the players was clear, setting a high standard for future tournaments.

10U Division
In the 10U division, 10U Heat emerged victorious, showcasing their skills and teamwork to secure first-place. The Nampa Pride – Noble team took second place, demonstrating strong performance and sportsmanship. Both teams displayed exceptional talent and determination, making the 10U division a highlight of the tournament.

12U Division
The 12U division saw Boise Blast – Meister clinching the first-place title, outplaying their competitors with remarkable prowess. The USA Explosion 12U Gold team secured the second place, showcasing their competitive edge and resilience. The 12U division was filled with intense games and impressive plays, reflecting the high level of talent in this age group.

14U Division
In the 14U division, Boise Blast 14U – Cole dominated the competition, earning the first-place position with their strategic play and skillful execution. The Washington Angels 14U – Souza team finished in second place, proving to be formidable opponents. The matches in this division were particularly thrilling, highlighting the growing talent pool in youth softball.

16/18U Division
The 16/18U division showcased the Washington Angels 18U – Souza team as the champions, with Crossfire – Garrett taking the second place.
