Breaking News: 2019 PGF Platinum All-Tournament Teams

Pitcher Mia Montes helped lead OC Batbusters-Shockey to the PGF 14U Platinum national championship and was selected to the PGF Platinum All-Tournament Teams.

Following on the recent release of the 2019 PGF Premier All-Tournament Teams, we present those standout athletes who shined in the two weeks of competition in the 18U, 16U, 14U and 12U Platinum divisions and earned recognition as a member of the 2019 PGF Platinum All-Tournament Teams.

Consideration was given to how a player helped their team as well as individual stats and accomplishments, be it as a pitcher, hitter or defensive standout.

MVP PITCHER

Maren Judish

Maren Judisch, Iowa Premier Gold: The Baylor-committed 2020 P went 4-0 with a save, a 1.17 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 30 innings, while allowing five total runs and eight walks to lead Iowa Premier Gold to the PGF 18U Platinum national championship. She had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning of the championship game against Select Fastpitch and settled for a 3-hit complete game with six strikeouts.

MVP PLAYER

Ella McVey
, Iowa Premier Gold: The Michigan-committed 2021 2B was clutch throughout the entire tournament, batting .400 with 11 hits, eight runs scored and 12 stolen bases to go along with error-free defense at second base. She finished with three game-winning hits, including in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

ALL-TOURNAMENT

Emma Kauf is considered one of the top catchers in the nation and one of the best hitters in Nebraska high school history.

* Emma Kauf, Iowa Premier Gold: The Georgia Tech-bound C batted .405 with 13 hits, four doubles, a triple, seven RBIs, 11 runs scored and she caught every game in bracket play and gunned down five potential base stealers and back-picked one runner at first base.

* Emily Wood, Iowa Premier Gold: The uncommitted 2021 speedster batted .440 with 11 hits, a triple, nine runs scored and 17 stolen bases. She was a lockdown defender in CF, making three diving catches throughout the week.

* Jordan Weber, Select Fastpitch: The Missouri-bound pitcher struck out 51 in 45 innings and picked up two saves to help the Kansas-based organization reach the PGF 18U Platinum national title game.

* Grace Banes, Select Fastpitch: The Iowa-committed 2020 MIF/OF hit .432 with a 1.245 OPS, a homer, a triple, two doubles, , two stolen bases, nine RBIs and she played outstanding defense.

* Chantice Phillips, Select Fastpitch: The Missouri-committed 2020 OF hit .400 with a .571 on-base percentage, a double and a homer for Select Fastpitch.

* Anna Reed, Central Cal Dirtdogs-Gorton: The uncommitted 2020 RHP went 2-1 with a 1.15 ERA to help the Dirtdogs to a third-place finish at PGF.

* Marissa Montelongo, Central Cal Dirtdogs-Gorton: The St. Mary’s-committed 2020 MIF batted .444 with a homer, five doubles, six RBIs and seven stolen bases for the Dirtdogs.

* Staci Chambers, Breakers Labs Blue: The Cal State Fullerton-committed 2020 P/DP/1B went 4-2 with a 0.91 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 38.2 innings and she batted .368 with five RBIs to help the Breakers finish tied for third place at PGF..

* Alyssa Vilke, Breakers Labs Blue: The San Diego State-bound OF/DP hit .500 with a .552 on-base percentage, .885 slugging percentage and 1.436 OPS for the Breakers.

* Rylie Hamilton, So Cal Choppers-Renteria: The 2020 Southern Illinois-commit batted .526, going 16 for 31 with a .710 slugging percentage, two doubles, three triples and scored 13 runs and defensively she completed three double plays in addition to 27 put-outs and 15 assists.

* Hope Hartle, So Cal Choppers-Renteria: The uncommitted 2020 2B had a game-winning homer in a 3-1 win over Lady Hustle and batted .414, going 12 for 29 with six doubles, a homer, 12 RBIs with a .677 slugging percentage. She also had a 1.00 fielding percentage, helped turn three double plays to go along with 20 put-outs and 13 assists.

* Riley Grigsby, AASA-Macias: The San Francisco State-committed 2020 2B/OF hit .519 with a .630 slugging percentage for AASA.
