(Northeast) Teams Ranked 1-2

As Extra Inning Softball continues on its mission to uphold our standard of empowering, inspiring and supporting all participants in the game of softball, we begin our enhanced rankings for the Class of 2028 Team rankings.

Our new rankings format features a shift from ranking individual players at a seventh and eighth grade level to ranking their age group by teams, both regionally and nationally. Read more HERE!

This strategic shift reflects our dedication to fostering a team-oriented approach to the development and recognition of young athletes. By prioritizing team rankings for this age group, we aim to highlight the collective efforts and achievements of teams, coaches, and players, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and overall team dynamics in the sport.

Our final day of the Class of 2028 rankings highlights the top two teams from Region One (Northeast) which includes 13 states (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia) listed alphabetically.

As a reminder, once the rankings for all six regions have been unveiled, we will continue the excitement by announcing the Extra Elite 100 National Teams Rankings for the Class of 2028. This prestigious list will showcase the very best teams from across the country, representing the pinnacle of achievement in fastpitch softball.
