The inaugural 16-Under and 18-Under Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) begin yesterday, Saturday, July 24 and will run through July 31, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will include over 150 teams from across the country as they compete in the culminating event of the summer for The Alliance Fastpitch.

​Teams will compete in four facilities in the Oklahoma City area, including the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex, Wildhorse Park, Bouse Sports Complex and Firelake Ball Fields.
Participating teams earned a Tier I or Tier II berth to the AFCS through Alliance Fastpitch Membership League Championships and Qualifying Events, while the AFCS Open division welcomes all League teams who did not qualify Tier I or II.

The tournament is designed to mimic the NCAA Division I Collegiate Softball post season with a Regional Format kicking off the series before narrowing to a Super Regional.
The top eight teams will then advance into the Elite 8 with the final two teams from each respective division and Tier facing off for the Championship title. ​
The event kicked off Saturday with the 16-Under and 18-Under Tier I Camp/Clinic at Bouse Sports Complex followed by the Opening Ceremonies at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex.
Games for Tier I began earlier Sunday and run through Friday, July 30 with the best two-out-of-three National Championship Series capping out the event for Tier I teams.
Tier II will begin activities with their own Camp/Clinic on Monday, July 26 with games beginning at 8 a.m. CT on July 27 and running through Saturday, July 31. ​
