Week 10 of the regular season is upon us!

The season seems to be flying by, but it’s delivered on every side of the ball up to this point and there are a number of intriguing matchups and conference series this week that are worth watching and keeping up with through the course of the weekend.

Let’s take a look at some of the games and teams that you don’t want to overlook…

*****

Florida State vs. North Carolina

Coming off of its first conference series loss in seven years after dropping two of three games at Louisville last weekend, Florida State will look to rebound in another road series in Chapel Hill, where they’ll take on the Tar Heels, who are enjoying an impressive season that has defied some expectations.

Donna Papa’s squad owns wins over a pair of SEC teams on the year, in South Carolina and Georgia, as well as victories over Northwestern and Michigan twice.

It’s one of the more notable series’ on the ACC slate this season, and should not only provide some great softball, but quality wins for whichever team emerges victorious.

Mississippi State vs. Tennessee

After a series loss to Auburn, the Lady Vols look to regain their momentum as they host the Bulldogs on Rocky Top. The Lady Vols are 11-4 at home and are 3-3 in conference play at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium this season, owning three of four conference series wins on the season that also included a two-game split with Texas and wins over Minnesota and James Madison.

Mississippi State has endured an up-and-down season that has proven to be par for the course for the Bulldogs for the last several seasons, sitting with 25 wins on the year, but just a 3-9 record in conference play.

The Bulldogs took home a win in the series opener against LSU last weekend before ultimately dropping the series to the Tigers.
