Welcome to Dear Younger Me, a new series from Extra Inning Softball featuring letters from our 2026 Commit Crew as they prepare for their senior year and reflect on the journey that brought them here. These are raw, heartfelt messages to their younger selves—full of wisdom, gratitude, and perspective earned through years of sacrifice and growth.

This week, we hear from Macie Dever-Boaz, a fierce competitor, faithful leader, and proud Arkansas commit. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been purposeful. Through every early morning, road trip, scraped elbow, and prayer-filled night, Macie never let go of the dream—or the One who gave it to her. What she’s built is more than a softball career; it’s a story of resilience, belief, and identity anchored in Christ.

Keep reading to hear what she’d tell the little girl who started it all.
