Schatko: Diamond Elite Hitter
Haley Schatko, a 2026 catcher and third baseman from Noblesville High School (IN), has officially been named the Diamond Elite National High School Hitter of the Week. The award, determined by fan voting, recognizes standout high school softball players across the country—and Schatko’s recent performances at the plate and behind it left little room for debate.
Schatko’s stat line from the past week is a testament to her impact: a .524 batting average, three home runs—including a grand slam—12 RBI, and a 1.660 OPS. Over seven games and 23 plate appearances, she recorded 11 hits, including three doubles and five singles, while drawing two walks and striking out just three times. She also caught every inning of the week, throwing out the only base runner who tested her arm.
With this fan-voted honor, Schatko, the class of 2026 Extra Elite 100 #99 Catcher and Western Michigan commit, joins a growing list of elite student-athletes being celebrated nationwide for their consistency, power, and leadership on and off the field.
