Sophia Cain, a 2026 pitcher and first baseman from Daviess County High School in Owensboro, Kentucky, has officially made her mark on the national stage. With a commanding two-game performance, Cain was named the Diamond Elite National High School Pitcher of the Week, an award voted on by fans across the country through Extra Inning Softball.
Cain’s dominance extended far beyond the box score. Her ability to control the game from the circle while contributing offensively makes her one of the most complete athletes in her class. As a Princeton commit and a known name on the PGF All-American Watchlist, Cain continues to add to a growing list of accolades with consistency, leadership, and next-level poise.
