Event News: The USA Softball International Cup Starts Monday… Here’s How To Follow the Action

If you’re a fan of women’s fastpitch softball, you’ll want to check out the action at the USA Softball International Cup taking place this week in Columbus, Georgia at the Commons Softball Complex.

The USA Women’s National Team and the USA U-19 Women’s National Team will compete against several of the top countries in the world including #2 Japan, #4 Puerto Rico, #5 Mexico, #6 Chinese Taipei, #8 China, #13 Phillipines and #20 Peru along with the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch and USSSA Pride teams (exhibition only).

The games will take place where the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games were held and Team USA won its first Gold Medal.

Columbus, Georgia was the birthplace of Olympic softball in 1996.

Four the Team USA games will be televised live on ESPN or ESPN 2 (check the schedule below) with the Championship being held Sunday, July 7 at noon EST.
