Extra Elite Eighty 16U Pre-Summer Club Rankings… Team #’s 10-1 (Mar. 11, 2022)

We continue our look at the most promising club teams across the nation for the 16U age division by spotlighting the teams #’s 10-1 in the Extra Elite Eighty.

Each day this week we’ve revealed 10 spots as we’ve worked towards today’s unveiling of the Top 10 (and #1 overall ranked team). Tomorrow (Saturday) we’ll list the Team #’s 51-80.

Teams were selected based on performances and results in events over the last year, including this past summer in major tournaments and nationals as well as how they project for the upcoming year with the talent returning and the addition of impactful new players.

Input was acquired by the Extra Inning Softball staff watching teams and players in person as well as insights provided by club and college coaches across the country.

This is our first version of the 16U’s for the year—we will update and revise after the 2022 summer travel ball season.
