Extra Inning Softball Position Rankings: Class of 2020

Over the last year we’ve ranked the players in the Classes of 2018 through 2023 in our Extra Elite 100 (and beyond) lists going, in some cases, 500-players deep.

This week are ranking the players in each of the current classes by the following position groups: Pitchers, Catchers, Infielders and Outfielders.

NOTE! These rankings are based on the most recent 2021 overall rankings and WILL change when the class is next updated!

Here is the schedule for each grad year:

• Mon., July 1: Class of 2023
• Tues., July 2: Class of 2022
• Wed., July 3: Class of 2021
• Thu., July 4: Class of 2020
• Fri., July 5: Class of 2019

Many players can take the field at multiple positions; for example, a current college standout like Charla Echols played third base primarily at the club level, was a catcher at Michigan State this year as a freshman and next spring will play third at Florida.

We placed the players at the positions we feel they are mostly likely to take the field; however, if you feel a player is listed at a secondary position, let us know and we will look to update in future rankings. Same if the club team listed is incorrect.
