We often get asked how we update our Extra Inning Softball Signing/Verbal Database of about 4,000 names of players who signed or committed to DI programs as well as DII, DIII, NAIA and junior colleges.
There are three main ways:
- Our research – as we do articles and talk to players, coaches, parents, etc. we learn of updated info. As we’re checking out top 2022’s, we learn of team switches or players who may have committed–such as Lexi Paulsen (above)–who we updated in the database.
- Info is sent to us by coaches– we ALWAYS appreciate getting news sent to us, be it email ([email protected]) or through filling out our online forms (see below). One good example was this week how we got a nice email from Trey Holdbrook of Centex Buzz out of Texas who wrote saying, “Saw that we didn’t have all our kids on the master verbal list and wanted to turn them in. Thx.” He had seven we had missed on, but got added this week. We encourage everyone to check out the list below and email if we’re missing players or info has changed!
- Info is sent to us by players/parents – This is how we learned about our spotlight athlete this week: Peyton Morehouse, a 2019 member of Top Gun – Petre who signed with Holy Cross but we didn’t have in the database. Peyton is a standout pitcher/infielder who has been All-Conference for three years at Park Hill High in Kansas City, Missouri and is headed to Holy Cross as she wants to be a trauma surgeon or pediatric reconstructive surgeon with her goal being to “work with Doctors Without Borders.” Best of luck, Peyton!

Below is our searchable “Extra Inning Softball Signing/Verbal Database” which is typically updated on Wednesdays and serves as a good tool for prospects of all ages to see which players are going where–especially important when a recruit wants to know if a particular university took five pitchers or three middle infielders in their class!
- PLAYERS & PARENTS: go to our Contact Us page and fill out the info in “I Committed!” (2nd tab down) to get info to us.
