Welcome to Faith Friday, the weekly Extra Inning Softball series that highlights the purpose behind the player—and the coach. Built for on-the-go encouragement, Faith Friday brings quick hits of reflection and real talk that remind us who we play for on and off the field.
This week, we spotlight Bobby Simpson and his “Higher Ground” message: Little Eyes Upon You.
His reminder is clear and timely for coaches, parents, and captains—young athletes are always watching. Your tone in the dugout, your effort in practice, your grace after a loss: it all teaches. Simpson challenges us to raise the standard we live by so the standard we coach by has weight.
Carry this into your week: lead with integrity, speak life, and choose the small, faithful habits that stack into culture. Someone’s confidence, courage, and faith may grow because of the example you set today.
