When we first published our Fast Friday feature on August 25th, one of the players who reached out to us was standout 2026 prospect Shaenyn Yates. Just a few short weeks later, Yates has already made her next big move — announcing her commitment to Texas A&M University. A versatile 2B/OF for Texas Blaze United Robertson 18U, Yates’ story shows how quickly recruiting journeys can unfold once talent gets noticed.
Each week, Extra Inning Softball shines a light on uncommitted athletes making waves across the country. These players bring a mix of standout performances, measurable skills, and academic achievements that set them apart. For college coaches, families, and fans, Fast Friday is your chance to see who’s next on the radar.
As recently announced in our feature, Uncommitted & On Fire: It’s Time to Be Seen!, that promise now becomes reality. Members of Extra Inning Softball enjoy exclusive access to detailed player bios, performance insights, and recruiting-ready data that shine a light on athletes still up for grabs.
If you’re a college coach searching for your next difference-maker—or a family determined to boost recruiting exposure—this series is your must-have recruiting tool. 👉 [Visit our complete list of On the Radar Players HERE]
With that, it’s time to kick things off—here are this week’s featured uncommitted athletes in Fast Friday: Uncommitted & On Fire.

Featured Players | Class of 2027

What’s Next for the Class of 2026
Up next, Extra Inning Softball is conducting a special uncommitted-only ranking for Class of 2026 players, making it crucial to get nominations submitted before the October 26 deadline [Nominate here]. In addition, for the first time ever, we’ll also feature a division watch list for committed players. [Learn more here]
Why Fast Friday Matters
This new weekly series is more than a spotlight—it’s a platform designed to elevate uncommitted athletes while giving college coaches an exclusive edge in recruiting. Each Friday, Extra Inning Softball will continue to highlight new players who are uncommitted today but unforgettable tomorrow.
To be eligible for consideration, athletes must be entering their junior year (Class of 2027) or currently a junior or senior (Class of 2025–2026). This ensures that the players featured are in critical recruiting windows where exposure matters most.
