Today we have more verbal commits and team changes in the softball recruiting world, but one of the biggest pieces of news is a player who is no longer committed.
Tallen Edwards, an outstanding infielder for the Birmingham Thunderbolts, announced last night that she has decided to decommit from Ole Miss and open up her recruiting process again. She posted on social media:
“After long and hard thought, I have decided that I will be de committing from Ole Miss, I appreciate the opportunity you gave me to become a Rebel and I will forever love Ole Miss, but I don’t think it’s the right fit for me. I hope nothing but success comes to the University and athletics. Once gain thank you all. Thank you to everyone that has always supported me.”
That’s a shame for the Rebels, but you can be sure every most major DI program will be looking to get in with Tallen, who we profiled in an Extra Star Profile on Monday of this week.
