Harlie Chism’s path to playing Division I softball at Florida State University has been a long and exciting one.
From being selected to represent her region on the USA Softball team at the end of 12U to meeting her hero, Sis Bates—Harlie’s recruitment process was unique in all the best ways.
A triplet with two older siblings—all of which are competitive, next-level athletes—Harlie first took the field as a baseball player. However, by 12U, she had made the switch to the softball diamond, consistently getting down and dirty at shortstop and finding ways to get on base.
