Jazmine Chavez, an elite 2024 right-handed pitcher for the Corona Angels—Howard, announced her decision to play Division I softball in the Mountain West Conference at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, starting in the fall of next year.
Growing up in Eastvale, California, Jazmine has been in the game for 11 years, 10 of which she’s spent developing her craft on the mound. At 10, she joined the esteemed Corona Angels organization. Presently on Kimbo Howard’s 18U squad, Jazmine’s commitment to achieving her childhood dream has contributed to the success of her teams, including a recent impressive showing at the PGF Surf City October Showcase. Throwing for eight innings, Jazmine struck out 12 batters and allowed zero runs for the Angels’ opponents.
At the prep level, Jazmine is in her senior year at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, where she leads the Mustangs on the mound with the varsity squad amidst the very competitive California high school league.
