Hello, and welcome back to the final day of Select30 with Mac! Today was short and sweet, for myself. We had a game at 9:45 a.m.
In this game, my team and I sadly lost, 6-2. Over the entire weekend, we went, 1-2-1 (won 1, tied 2, lost 1). I had a LOT of fun with my teammates over the weekend. My coach, Abbey Phillips, was amazing. Sadly, I was not chosen for the Select 30 All-Star game, but congratulations to my teammates who did — Shyla Rose, Bri Deeter and Jules Firsdon.
Over these past four days, I’ve grown a lot, not only as player, but also as a person. I’ve learned to let loose, because that’s when I do my best. This weekend was by far one of my best performances, because I let go and trusted in myself.
So if you haven’t taken anything away from my blog, yet, take this away: believe in yourself and your abilities. Here are my stats from this weekend: .667 AVG, .714 OBP, 1.000 SLG, 1.000 fielding percentage, 3 runs scored, ZERO passed balls, threw one runner out and an hour long plank.

Thanks so much to all of you who have stuck with my blog and stayed around! It’s been an honor being able to share my journey with you all. I enjoyed meeting new people from across the country and I hope to continue to keep in touch. The end goal was not the Select 30 game, but to see how much I’ve improved in the past year. The biggest improvement was by far my confidence hitting and behind the plate. Signing off, Madison “Mac” McCallister.
