Madness Monday: Development vs. Exposure—What Matters More?

Madness Monday: Jayden Mount and Katie Lively

Welcome to Madness Monday, the brand-new digital series from Extra Inning Softball where we stir the pot and tackle the sport’s hottest topics. As we shift more of our content from written articles to on-the-go digital experiences, you can expect real conversations, real athletes, and real opinions—straight from the people who live and breathe the game.

To launch this segment, Jayden Mount and Katie Lively sat down to discuss a big question: Is today’s game more about development or exposure? The responses poured in, and let’s just say the softball community had plenty to say. From elite travel coaches to parents in the trenches, everyone’s got a take.

Now it’s your turn to listen, reflect—and maybe even rethink how we’re preparing the next generation of athletes. Let the madness begin.
