Extra Inning Softball continues to expand its national coverage of athlete recruiting with the launch and ongoing growth of its Master Verbal Database, a centralized hub designed to recognize and track softball players who have made verbal commitments to play at the collegiate level.

With 2,413 committed athletes already captured and highlighted, the database serves as one of the most comprehensive resources in the country for monitoring verbal commitments across all levels of the game.

A Centralized Resource for the Softball Community

The Master Verbal Database was created to provide a single, reliable location where commitments can be tracked, celebrated, and referenced by athletes, families, college coaches, and fans.

This ongoing list reflects Extra Inning Softball’s commitment to documenting the recruiting journey and ensuring that athletes receive national recognition for their accomplishments.

In a recruiting landscape that moves quickly, having a centralized, trusted source for verified commitments brings clarity and value to the entire softball community.

Athletes who have made a verbal commitment to play at the college level will be featured on the Master Verbal Database, which serves as the official home for recognizing and celebrating their achievements.

Powered by the “I Committed” Series

The database is built through Extra Inning Softball’s established I Committed content pipeline, which continues to serve as a key driver of athlete exposure.

Athletes begin the process by submitting their commitment through the official form. From there, selected athletes are featured in “I Committed” spotlight articles, typically highlighting a group of approximately 10 players who have recently announced their decisions.

These articles go beyond a simple announcement. They provide context, recognition, and visibility at a critical moment in each athlete’s recruiting journey. For many players, this represents one of the first opportunities to have their commitment recognized on a national platform.

Once published, each athlete is then added to the Master Verbal Database, creating a permanent record of their achievement within the Extra Inning Softball platform. This two-step process ensures that every commitment is both celebrated in the moment and preserved long-term.

Recognition That Lasts

While commitment announcements often move quickly across social media, the Master Verbal Database ensures those moments are not lost.

Instead of being limited to a single post or announcement, each athlete becomes part of a growing national record. This structure provides lasting visibility and allows athletes, families, and coaches to revisit and reference commitments over time.

Recognition is no longer temporary. It becomes part of a larger, verified body of work that reflects the athlete’s achievement within the recruiting landscape.

How to Be Included

Athletes, parents, and coaches can submit commitment information through the official I Committed form.

Once submitted, athletes become eligible for feature placement within the “I Committed” series and inclusion in the Master Verbal Database. This process ensures that commitments are captured accurately while providing athletes with an opportunity for national exposure.

Building Our Foundation

As the recruiting landscape continues to evolve, Extra Inning Softball remains focused on providing accurate, timely, and meaningful coverage of athlete commitments.

With more than 2,400 players already documented, the Master Verbal Database continues to grow with each new submission cycle. As more athletes commit and more stories are told, the database will expand alongside the game, strengthening its position as a trusted resource for the softball community.

The goal is simple. Continue building a platform where achievements are recognized, stories are shared, and athletes receive the visibility they have earned.
