The spring high school softball season has officially begun with many states having started the 2024 season in February and March.
Throughout the spring softball season Extra Inning Softball will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of players from across the country.
Nominations for Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week can be submitted HERE.
Beginning on Feb. 14, 2024, Extra Inning Softball will be selecting a National High School Player of the Week every week through May 31, 2024. Nominations will be accepted through Monday each week and nominations should include relevant statistical information for games played during the previous week and photographs.

Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week
After a dominating week in the circle, Hunter Lewis has been selected as the Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week. Lewis plays for Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill.
Lewis turned in a pair of brilliant pitching performances to open the season for Loyola Academy as she tossed a no-hitter in back-to-back starts.
The sophomore struck out a total of 32 batters in 14 innings of pitching and allowed just one walk.
In the season opener against Glenbrook South, Lewis fanned 14 and issued one walk in a 1-0 Loyola Academy victory.
She then followed up with an 18-strikeout performance in a 3-0 win over Evanston.

Other Top Performances:
Sydney Hearl, Orange County High School, Orange, Va. – Hearl helped lead Orange County to a pair of wins to open the 2024 season. Hearl, Class of 2027, batted .714 in the two games and belted a home run and had two doubles and a pair of singles and drove in five runs. She also had an OPS of 2.143 as Orange County outscored its opponents 20-1 in the two games.
Brianne Weiss, Orange Lutheran High School, Orange, Calif. – Weiss, a Notre Dame commit, pitched a perfect game against Cajon High School and recorded 16 strikeouts. She followed that up by striking out 13 in another Orange Lutheran victory.
